Monash Form x Content—COMPOSTING Feminisms and the Environmental Humanities

A conversation between Associate Professor Astrida Neimanis and Dr Jennifer Mae Hamilton, hosted by Dr Djuke Veldhuis, in which composting provides both the metaphor and the method for addressing climate catastrophe from an eco-feminist viewpoint. The discussion includes ideas of composting as a methodology for inquiry and practice, while interrogating the role of hetero-patriarchy and gendered and colonial approaches, and examining the determinations of language in culture and academic discourse.
